I can reach into my pocket, pull out a candy bar sized device, capture a set of photons flying toward me, fiddle with it for a few seconds and someone a thousand miles away can see a snapshot of what I’m seeing. I can walk into my bathroom, turn a knob, and clean, fresh, [...]  The photo dates back to 1934. This child was, in fact, the CCTV (Caged Child Television). The downtime was pretty bad though.
